No Adequate Words

May 21, 2013

Two-Minute Tune-Up

Last night I dreamed of terror. I woke, screaming for my life with a heart pounding like a bass drum. So much for being brave.

It was a good reminder to:

1) Empathize with those who, today, endure the terror of tragedy (in Moore, Oklahoma…and oh, so many other places)

2) Remember the value of spiritual strength and focus when it comes to facing fear

3) Recognize that I have less practical character and courage than I thought I had

4) Acknowledge that we live in an unpredictable place where courage and preparation for the unexpected is needed everyday (for ourselves and for others)

There are no adequate words.
